Verizon HTC One coming August 22, better late than never
Finally, Verizon Wireless will begin selling the HTC One. The carrier confirmed the flagship Android device will arrive on August 22 for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement. No pricing has been confirmed for Verizon’s new Edge program which sells devices at full retail price to customers who pay in 24 installments and can upgrade as early as six months or when half the device cost is paid, whichever comes last.
In our review of the HTC One, we called it one of the best Android device we’ve tested ever, beating out the Samsung Galaxy S4 by a slim margin. However, until now Verizon customers have been stuck with the Droid DNA as the latest HTC device on their network.
Unfortunately, with Verizon being months behind in the availability of the HTC One, it may not be the hit it could have been, as consumers are already moving on to newer devices like the Moto X or incoming iPhone 5S.
